Acceleratio helped Holland Circular Hotspot, FME-Envaqua, the Dutch Enterprise Agency and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment with the organisation of an event presenting circular economy opportunities in Poland, Bulgaria and Romania.
Acceleratio also presented its market reports drafted in cooperation the Dutch Enterprise Agency and the Dutch Embassies in Poland, Romania and Bulgaria about the circular economy opportunities.
Central and Eastern European countries are at different stages in the development of circular economy and there various opportunities emerging within within the waste, water, agrifood and energy sector. Watermanagement projects are ongoing and, driven by EU regulation, EU pressure and EU funding new opportunities will arise for consultants and technology providers in the waste management and related bio-energy sector. A wild card can be given to circular economy opportunities that are less regulatory dependent like refurbishment and remanufacturing. A central position in Europe, relatively low wages, a manufacturing tradition and good skills make these activities worth exploring in central and eastern europe.
