Plastics 2016: from idea to product (“Kunststoffen 2016”)

The use of plastics has become an integral part of our society. Plastic has great advantages compared to other materials: for example, it is strong, light, non-fragile and can be used in may different ways. Plastics have become indispensable in industry and commerce, construction, packaging and consumer products. Legislation however looks critically at the use of plastics and damage they might cause to eco-systemens by ending up as litter or the presence of  (historic) SVHC.

The Plastics 2016 conference will look more in detail at the various aspects of plastic in detail:

  • Which materials are available?
  • How can plastic best be processed?
  • How can I produce as cost-efficiently as possible?
  • How does circular economy impact the plastics world?
  • How to finance a good (plastics) idea?
  • Who can help me in turning a great idea into a good product?

The Conference and Exhibition Plastics 2016  (Kunststoffen 2016), organised by Mikrocentrum for the 18th successive year, takes place on September 28 and 29 at the NH Conference Centre Koningshof in Veldhoven. Access is free.

Freek van Eijk from Acceleratio will deliver a keynote speech on the impact of circular economy on product design of plastics.

At this fair more than 275 specialized companies from The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany will be exhibiting such as design agencies, product developers, raw materials suppliers, injection moulding and extrusion companies, vacuum forming plants, toolmakers, machinery suppliers, software suppliers and rapid-prototypers.
In short, it is a fair of and for the entire chain.

As a visitor of trade fairs you are overwhelmed with information, images, products, text, etc.
