The Dutch Ambassador Ms Laetitia van den Assum and Green Alliance cordially invite you to a conference on:

Opening up new circular economy trade opportunities:

Options for collaboration between the UK and the Netherlands

Hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the UK in collaboration with the Circular Economy Task Force

Dutch Centre, 7 Austin Friars, London EC2N 2HA
Monday 2nd March, 10:00 for 10:30 – 6:00pm

The circular economy has been at the heart of the European Commission’s economic and environmental thinking. But the Commission’s recent decision to reform the circular economy package provides an opportunity to reflect on what member states are already doing, individually and together.

This conference will consider British and Dutch approaches to promoting a circular economy, and what opportunities there are for increasing trade and developing new businesses by harmonising interventions between like-minded European countries. Presentation and discussion topics include:

· National strategy and practice in promoting a circular economy
· The launch of a new idea by Dutch MP Stientje van Veldhoven: a North Sea Resource Roundabout – aligning regulation to enable greater resource flows between the North Sea Countries
· Unlocking the circular economy opportunities for plastics
· Exploring the market potential for circular economy goods and services

Who should come?

· Businesses interested in the circular economy model
· Policy professionals
· Waste and resource professionals
· Environmental regulators

Numbers at the conference are limited so to confirm your place please register via Eventbrite. For further information about the conference, please e-mail Jonny Hazell at Green Alliance on jhazell@green-alliance.org.uk.
