The EU Circular Economy Package was announced at the end of 2015. On March 9 and 10, 2017 the EC held a two day stakeholder event around Circular Economy
The primary goal of this conference was to bring together different stakeholders to discuss the latest developments in the implementation of the Circular Economy Action Plan and to start the process of setting up the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform.
Day 1 welcomed more than 600 attendees who actively participated in the debates; it was also followed extensively via webstream and recorded high interactivity on Twitter.
The Dutch, who like to see their countries as a circular hotspot, were well represented in the audience and among the contributers
